Boutique Bed & Breakfast

With care and attention, we are working on the renovation and furnishing of our boutique Bed & Breakfast — a place where peace, space and simplicity come together, and where you can truly retreat and unwind.
The atmospheric room will be a wonderful base from which to explore Drenthe. From here you can walk or cycle straight into nature, past heathlands, forests and quiet country roads. The historic village of Orvelte is also within easy cycling distance and makes for a lovely cultural outing.
Whether you come for peace and quiet, nature, or simply to get away from it all — with us you will find the space to slow down and enjoy everything Drenthe has to offer.
At Thuis in Drenthe, staying overnight and cooking naturally come together. Our boutique Bed & Breakfast and cooking studio are part of the same place and the same story: attention to good food, tranquillity and hospitality.
Guests of the Bed & Breakfast will soon be able to enrich their stay with a cooking workshop or a private dinner in the cooking studio. Imagine cooking together, sitting down at the table, and then relaxing afterwards — without having to go anywhere else.
In the future, special packages will be available combining an overnight stay with a cooking workshop or a private dinner.
This creates the perfect opportunity to truly slow down: spending the day outdoors in the Drenthecountryside, cooking and dining in a relaxed setting in the evening, and then unwinding in our Bed & Breakfast.

Update 2026
After completing the cooking studio, our focus this year will be on the Bed & Breakfast. We hope to open our doors in the summer of 2026 and welcome our first guests.
